Focus on all three for a balance: Past, Present, and Future - Happy September!

Are you too focused on the past?

Do you focus on the future too much?

Where is your energy spent?

Are you able to savor and be grateful for the present situation?

When the future can overshadow the present, positive or negative, you are missing out.

When the past does the same you are missing out.

Savor the present, too! Be grateful.

I took a bit of a break from work and am focusing on my PPFs at the moment before a rather busy month.

Remember and be grateful for the past (PAST). Savor and be grateful for the present (PRESENT) and anticipate and hope for the future (FUTURE) (PPFs).

After this I will get back to the series on change and how to move forward.

Right now I am grateful for a wonderful summer full of fun and times with people I love (PAST).

I am also savoring the present rain, which we have had precious little of and earlier today I savored my great cup of coffee. Last night we had treasures from the garden: baked tomatoes, salad with our tomatoes, and meatloaf with zucchini. MMMmmm! (PRESENT)

My immediate future is full.  I am looking forward to guests tomorrow, and next week there is an EASC coaching conference in Barcelona; finally in two weeks a new and busy semester begins, and I will be teaching over 120 students for 16 hours each week. Plus, I have my clients. These are LOTs of positive future events/times to look forward to! (FUTURE)

It would be easy to let the past or future block out my immediate present, so it is one day and one task at a time for me!

WE ALL need to have all three of our PPFs to be a well-balanced person.

So, have you made your plan to remember the past, savor the present and anticipate a hopeful future, yet?  I sure hope so because it will help you get through tough times and enjoy the present good times.

I repeat from before:

Everyone knows it’s hard to make the changes so I give you these three tips for personal change (remember I will write more about this next time):

·      Make a plan

·      Tell a friend for support

·      Fix your environment for positive success If you want to talk more about the difficulties you are having and how to fix your life for the better, just give me an email.

Have a positive week! Happy September!
