Take time and CELEBRATE

A week ago morning I turned in all my corrected exams – with all my ducks in a row, I felt like summer could really begin!

I am celebrating!

I am also celebrating the summertime, in general, because it will be long and “easy”. Not too many meetings, not too much going on (unlike next fall).  That’s worth a celebration, too.

A friend is celebrating five years of doing the “artist thing” her in Switzerland.

A few couples are engaged to be married and they are celebrating. One couple, not my own kids, but friends, are celebrating in our garden towards the end of the month.

What are you celebrating? Celebration of BIG and SMALL things is important for us. It creates gratitude.

What are you grateful for?

Summer is a wonderful time to celebrate. The nights are long and the temperatures not too hot (in the evenings).

Celebration is an important part of life – and success.

When you celebrate something, you give it weight and consider it special. So, I ask again, what are you celebrating?

People who celebrate and who are grateful, in general, are healthier and happier than the negative crowd. Research says it, not just me.

How do you celebrate?

I love celebrating.

Right now in honor of “no more school work”, I am having an nice cold iced coffee (not at my new favorite place, but that will come later this week when I am in the Old Town in Zürich).  Also, I will have my new favorite appetizer tonight for dinner to celebrate the summer beginning.

Tomorrow I will talk with a few friends and maybe get a new client, while conversing over a glass of wine.

All these things are celebration activities for me.

But what connotates a celebration activity for you?

Maybe it’s chocolate? Or ice cream? Or chocolate ice cream (one of my favorites- and eaten only on certain occasions).

Maybe it is going out for an open air movie.

Maybe it’s a cold glass of white wine taken outside?

Or maybe it is doing something special, like eating at a certain restaurant.

Whatever you do to celebrate, do it more often and find lots of things to celebrate.

Celebrate the small wins as well as the big ones and be grateful for every little blessing.

Have a lovely month of celebration!
